IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Reopening Soon!

We are incredibly excited to share a quick update on our recent facility improvements. With the help of J K Carpet Center, new carpet and tile have been installed in the locker room, and we are thrilled to announce that the remodeled locker rooms will open very soon!

We know this has been a remarkably long remodeling process, and we want to extend our deepest gratitude to all of our members. Thank you so much for your unwavering patience, understanding, and flexibility while we navigated this extensive rebuild.

The fresh, updated bathrooms are looking absolutely fantastic. We are so proud of how the space has come together and simply cannot wait for you to experience the much-needed improvements firsthand the next time you visit the club.

Thank you again for bearing with us through the construction!

Remembering Barbara: A legacy of Family, Music, and Tennis

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of my mother, Barbara. As I look back on her life, I am filled with overwhelming gratitude for the passions she and my father passed down to me—most notably, a deep love for music and a lifelong dedication to tennis.

Our family’s tennis journey truly began during my sophomore year of high school when we joined an indoor club in Puyallup, Washington. We quickly became immersed in the life of that small club. While I was cutting my teeth in Junior tennis, my parents spent years competing in Adult USTA leagues. The circle of friends they built on those courts grew into an incredibly strong and lasting support group.

Those years shaped my future. I eventually started working at that same club, working my way up to become the Head Tennis Professional. In that role, I had the unique privilege of working with several of my parents' teams, traveling together to sectional matches and team cup events. Being the youngest of four children afforded me some extra, cherished time with my parents, especially our Friday nights spent battling it out in two-on-one fun matches.

I often trace my passion for sharing tennis with others back to those exact moments. I truly believe that families who play together stay together, and I cannot thank my parents enough for all the fun, memorable times we spent around the game.

Three years ago, after my father passed away, my mother came to live with Meghan and me. While her days on the tennis court were behind her, her competitive spirit and love for connection were not. She loved to sit and play card and board games with us, proving that you don't need a racquet in hand to have a great time as a family.

Thank you, Mom and Dad, for sharing so much with me. Your passion lives on in every song I play, every match I watch, and every family I see stepping onto the court together.

Investing in Our Club: A Membership Update

First and foremost, we want to say a heartfelt thank you. Your continued support, energy, and dedication to the Salem Tennis and Swim Club make this community truly special. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve you and are constantly striving to improve your experience every time you walk through our doors.

As we work to maintain our standard as a Platinum Facility and continue upgrading our amenities—such as our newly remodeled locker rooms and restrooms—we are navigating rising operational expenses. To ensure we can continue providing the high-quality programming, facility improvements, and excellent service you expect and deserve, we will implement a necessary adjustment to our monthly dues.

This upcoming dues increase will officially go into effect on September 28th.

We do not make these decisions lightly, and we want you to know that this adjustment goes directly back into making our club a better place for you and your family. We are deeply committed to reinvesting in our spaces so that you always have a premier environment to play, swim, and connect.

Thank you again for your understanding, your loyalty, and for being such an essential part of our community.
