With over 35 years of experience in the tennis industry, Bill Fletcher is an RSPA Elite Tennis Professional at Salem Tennis and Swim Club. Since the 1990s, Bill has dedicated
himself to creating comprehensive and competitive tennis programs for all ages. His
expertise ranges from training nationally competitive juniors to coaching adult USTA
National Champions.
While not on the court, Bill relaxes by playing the drums with his band, Crash of the Rhinos. He enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife, Meghan, adult children, and extended family.

Nationally Recognized Tennis Programs - For three consecutive years, the Tennis Industry Association named Bill’s program one of the Top 50 tennis programs in the nation.
USPTA 2023 National Small Facility Manager of the Year - Bill was recognized by his peers in the United States Tennis Professionals Association for his work at Salem Tennis & Swim Club
Facility Manager of the Year - Bill was honored by the USPTA / PNW Division in 2010 while at Columbia Basin Racquet Club
Coach of the Year - Bill has earned this title multiple times throughout the years, highlighting his outstanding coaching skills while contributing to local high school tennis programs.
Bill’s energetic teaching style and innovative drills have won him several awards. He has successfully coached several high school teams to state-level competitions and continues influencing the tennis community through his leadership and expertise.
Leadership Roles
Currently, Bill is the President of the PNW Division of the Racquet Sports Professionals Association. His extensive experience and dedication to the sport have also led him to serve on various committees and boards, further contributing to tennis's growth and development.
Bill has been a Pickleball player since 1985...yes 1985!
He played competitively in singles and doubles at both Junior and Open levels.
He is currently a Certified Pickleball Professional.
In 2014, Bill started a pickleball program at Illahee Country Club. He has created many programs and tournaments.
In 2017, Bill was instrumental in the addition of three dedicated, stand-alone pickleball courts at Salem Tennis and Swim Club.
Bill now consults with clubs and new facilities nationwide to develop memberships, programs, and facilities.
